Our Services
Initial Consultation
Online or in person in Richmond, this is for individuals interested in pursuing psychotherapy, or for those seeking a one-time visit and other short-term support.
An initial consultation with any of our providers will include completion of online questionnaires, a one-hour assessment, discussion and care coordination with your other providers if appropriate, and recommendations for next steps and services. Initial consultations are required for anyone wanting to initiate psychotherapy with a provider in our practice.
They are an especially helpful option for individuals who do not want to initiate psychotherapy or are not sure if they need psychotherapy, but who are interested in gaining perspective or guidance around a specific challenge.

Individual Psychotherapy
Online or in person in Richmond, individual psychotherapy can be short-term for very specific areas of concern or time-sensitive needs (typically 4-6 sessions), or longer-term if wanting to address a broader area of concern or diagnosis (typically 12-20 sessions).
Regardless, the scope of care will be focused on the presenting concern or stressor, and will be personalized to address the individual’s treatment goals and broader circumstances. Interventions may include but are not limited to cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, motivational interviewing, dialectical behavior therapy, radically open dialectical behavior therapy, and exploration of psychodynamic and relational themes.
